Schoolhouse Square Apartments
Schoolhouse Square apartments consist of thirteen apartments in the heart of Fountain Square. The old schoolhouse was originally constructed circa 1870 and was renovated by one of Fountain Square's finest humanitarians, Tom Ellis. Originally, the building was known as the Saint Joseph's Institute and used as a school by the Brothers of Sacred Heart. There is a mix of one bedrooms and studios with each apartment having unique characteristics and amenities. The building retains many of its original features and all of its beloved turn of the century charm. Nearly 150 year old hardwood floors run throughout the building, along with windows larger than doorways. It is truly a gem.
